Edina High School Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination Process and Form

Nominations:

Any alumni or friend of Edina athletics may submit the name or names of nominees for induction into the Edina Athletic HOF. Nominations must be received no later than May 15 to be considered by the Selection Committee for that year’s HOF induction. Any nominee not selected for induction will remain on the HOF nominee list for a period of five (5) years from the date of their nomination.

Criteria for Induction:

A candidate, in order to be considered for induction into the Edina Athletic HOF, must qualify in one of the following categories:

1. Athletic and Personal Achievement - Edina High School graduate, living or deceased, who performed with excellence and lettered in a varsity sport, has demonstrated good character, and has graduated from EHS ten (10) or more year prior to their induction.
2. Edina Coaches - A current or former EHS coach, living or deceased, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, character, and athletic achievement as a coach at Edina HS.
3. Edina Athletic Booster - A person who has been exceptional, a loyal volunteer, and devoted supporter of EHS athletics.

Selection of Inductees:

The HOF Selection Committee shall vote by June 15 each year to induct not more than eight (8) total nominees from the following categories:

1. Athletic and personal achievement: A maximum of six (6) former athletes per year.
2. Edina Coach: A maximum of two (2) present or former coaches per year. The Selections Committee may opt to make no coaching selections in any given year.
3. Edina Athletic Boosters: A maximum of one (1) Edina athletic booster per year. The Selections Committee may opt to make no Edina athletic booster selection in any given year.
